Household Tasks

Support worker assisting with household tasks at home

A Clean, Comfortable Home - Without the Struggle

For many people with disability, keeping up with the household is genuinely difficult - physically, cognitively, or because the energy required simply isn't there after managing other aspects of life. There's no shame in that. The home you live in shapes how you feel every single day, and having the right support to keep it clean, safe, and functional makes a real difference to your wellbeing and independence.

At Pristine Care, our household tasks support workers do exactly that - they come to you, help with the things that need doing, and do it with care and respect for your home, your preferences, and your privacy. We support participants across Victoria, New South Wales, and the ACT with reliable, consistent household support that fits your schedule.

"I have the energy to spend time with my grandkids on weekends now because I'm not spending my whole week trying to keep on top of the house. It sounds simple, but it's changed everything." - Participant, Ballarat VIC

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the questions we hear most often from participants and families considering this service.

  • 01 Is household task support funded by the NDIS?

Yes. Household task assistance is funded under Core Supports - Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS plan. The key test is that the support must be needed because of your disability - i.e., you cannot perform these tasks yourself due to your disability, and there's no one in your household who can reasonably assist.
  • 02 Can I request the same support worker each visit?

  • 03 Do I need to be home while the support worker is there?

  • 04 Can household support be combined with personal care?
